Drumming and singing are basic elements of music making. All we really need are our bodies to express rhythm and are our voices to sing. As humans we express ourselves through music naturally. Recent research shows that drumming and singing have been shown to have analgesic effects, reducing pain perception and improving pain management. By engaging in active music making we hope to shift people from yet another day of ‘enduring pain’ to having joyful, fun times and feeling connected to others.
