“Art can permeate the very deepest part of us, where no words exist.” – Eileen Miller
Join us for a relaxing, meditative and fun art program. We will be creating Mandelas. Simply put, a mandala is a circle. It is a geometric configuration of symbols, often concentric circles. In a variety of spiritual traditions mandalas are used to focus attention. The design establishes a sacred space and is often used as an aid in meditation. We will be creating a mandala following a concentric circle guide. We will use the technique of repetitive painted dots. This simple technique is relaxing and promotes a sense of calm . You do not need to have any experience with painting to participate and successfully complete a mandala. Art allows us to tap into the creative part of our brain as well as the emotional center allowing healing to take place.
