What is Therapeutic Painting? With a painting instructor guiding you, these types of activities have shown to improve your mental health. Creating or viewing art is used to help with exploring emotions, coping with stress, and helping one to learn about self- awareness and self- esteem and also add social skills. Therapeutic painting gives you the ability to learn something new or revive one’s artist talents or just have a mini escape from everything happening around you. Therapeutic painting focuses more on the product itself, with the overall goal to create a specific piece of pleasing artwork. The goal is to create something that is interesting, beautiful, or just visually appealing while enjoying the absence of stress and negative energy that surrounds us.
